A classic highland grouse moor, situated 12 miles south of Inverness airport and near Tomatin village.

This visually breath-taking part of the highlands boasts one of the most productive driven grouse moors in Scotland. Dalmagarry moor has fabulous elevations ranging from 350 to 550 meters making for some wonderfully challenging and varied drives, and is ideal for up to three consecutive days shooting. Lying between the Cairngorm National Park and the Monadliath Mountains to the west, marvelous wide-ranging panoramic vistas can be enjoyed.

The moor is privately managed and has benefited from substantial recent investment in road improvements and infrastructure. This proactive style of management has led to records being broken recently, and a consistent increase in spring counts.

The Dalmagarry estate is now able to offer, seasonal counts allowing, a few let days each season on this exclusive moor. A regular day is run on a traditional basis and will be hosted, which makes for a very relaxed and friendly sporting day. A day is normally based on 75-100 brace and shooting 4-6 drives, with a break for refreshments at eleven, followed by the unforgettable experience of a splendid shooting lunch in a first class hill bothy.

Other sporting pursuits available on the Dalmagarry Estate include salmon fishing on a productive 1.5 mile single bank of the River Findhorn, as well as stalking for Red, Roe and Sika.

Dalmagarry moor is easily accessible from the A9 making it convenient to combine with days on other local moors if you plan a longer visit. There is an excellent choice of quality hotels and lodges close by to the Estate and arrangements can be made to suit all requirements.
